One Piece, Chapter 566: Fierce Attack

Summary:


Cover page – Coloured page of the strawhat pirates enjoying some cola. Possibly a tribute to Franky joining the crew.


Luffy fearlessly attacks the three admirals and uses the gear second to get pass them but Admiral Kizaru knocks him back with a kick.


Just as the marines are about to execute Ace as ordered by Sengoku, the executioners gets killed by Crocodile which even surprises Sengoku the strategist.


Donflamingo, not happy about being rejected, attacks Crocodile and the two of them ends up battling each other. Meanwhile, Aokiji is about to stab Luffy, but he’s saved by a kick from Marco.


Inside the encircling walls, a paddle ship that looks similar to the Mody Dick appeared out of the water to save the pirates. Oars then carried the ship over the wall to the plaza.


Whitebeard attacks the marines and give up a roaring order to save Ace and destroy the marines!…




That’s why he’s the world’s strongest.

We didn’t do a write up for Chapter 0 which is unfortunate, but let me tell you, it’s definitely worth reading. You get to see all the current big shots when they’re in their prime or when they’re still small fries, and you learn a bit more about the history of the great pirate age and how things came to being what it is now.


The two big surprises of this chapter would be Crocodile saving Ace and the coated paddle ship. With the pirates making it to the plaza now, the coming chapters will just be all out fights, I doubt either the marines or the pirates have anything up their sleeves anymore.


On another note, I don’t think Oars has another breath in him, and Whitebeard seems to be running out of breath as well. I just hope we get to see him pull off more spectacular attacks before he meets his maker.


From how the chapter ended, we can expect to see Sengoku and Garp entering the battle now. The supernovas probably will only appear when they’re about to escape.


Soulboy:
Kudos to Crocodile for saving Ace, that’s such a heroic act, except now you’ve got yourself an annoying preacher bugging you. Oh and pray that no one comes to your aid, if not they will be turn against you.


Anyway, Marco just looks so bad-ass after kicking Aokiji, although I would love to see Kizaru be the one receiving the kick, it looks like Aokiji took the full damage as he didn’t shatter into pieces.


Personally, I like how Sengoku’s always going to battle teaming up with Garp, it is like they entrusted their life to one another.


It would be cool to see them double-team against Whitebeard with inhuman speed and strength, leaving Whitebeard no time to create a quake, maybe with a little devil fruit power to spice things up.


While reviving the battle with shiki 20+ years ago, one question still remains, who will be left to guard Ace?
