Full Metal Alchemist, Chapter 101: The Fifth Human Sacrifice

Summary:
As King Bradley pulls himself out of the sewer, Seig and everyone else is still shocked by where Izumi disappeared to.
Meanwhile, the mysterious alchemist continues to sway Mustang to perform human transmutation. However, upon reading Hawkeye’s glare, Mustang refuses.
The chimeras arrive just in time to save them and May uses her Xing alchemy to close Hawkeye’s wound.
Just as they finished off the ‘failed King Bradleys’, the real King Bradley arrives and Pride soon shows up as well. Together, they were able to hold down Mustang and teleport him to the ‘Father’s room’ with the rest of the human sacrifices.
Back on the surface, the solar eclipse has begun…
Indeed, the Hawk’s eyes are frightening.
Thoughts:
Sukai:It was good to see the lack of response towards Captain Buccaneer’s death this chapter… In all seriousness, I’m sure he’ll get a few panel in the later chapters to honour him and his rock hard abs.
Another delightful thing to feast on in this chapter was to see how far Mustang and Hawkeye’s relationship has grown. Ah, they are so suited for each other! I was a bit surprised that he didn’t do any transmutation at all though.
With the return of Pride and Wrath, I don’t think the others have much chance against them without any alchemist assistance, so they’ll probably end up running. Though, it is the first time we get to see the “father and son” homonculus in battle together.
In any case, the story will probably focus on either the human sacrifices next chapter or about how Al gets back his body. However, I do wonder if it’s a little soon for it. It is possible that Arakawa is just trying to confuse us with that colour page.
Either way, looking forward to how the human sacrifices fair against Father with or without alchemy.

Just when I thought the transmutation plan will fail, Wrath and Pride steps into the picture and deliver the last sacrifice so neatly and smoothly.
My guess is that Pride’s shadow got some alchemy in it thus activating the transmutation circle, using the Doctor as the price to the Door of Truth.
Desperate time calls for desperate measures. Mustang has not even seen the Door of Truth yet, how is he suppose to help carry out the plan? Maybe the plan will backfire.
Well who knows, we don’t even know what are the sacrifices needed for.
Will Al getting his body back, hinder with Father’s plan?
I really hope Scar and May get to play their parts in this instead of just waiting on the surfaces. Their abilities to continue using their Xing style alchemy while Father prevented alchemists from performing Amestrian alchemy, are not shown for nothing right?
Oh noes, the world is ending!
