Kaiji Live-Action Film

This might be old news to you guys, but it’s definitely news to me. Considering how I was a fan of the Kaiji anime series, I don’t know how I missed this - Kaiji has got a live-action film!


Kaiji is a psychological, gambling and drama series from the same creator as Akagi, a popular anime about Mah Jong. The series wouldn’t be hard to turn into a live-action since it’s not something that require CG, but how well the actors are able to convey the raw emotion of the series will be key to how good this film becomes.


This will probably not be a problem with a veteran actor like Tatsuya Fujiwara (played Light Yagami in Death Note playing Kaiji.

I’ll definitely be watching to see how they portray this great series as a live-action. As a side note, if you enjoyed Kaiji like me, then you might be interested in Liar Game that has its own live-action TV drama.
