Solar Eclipse Seen From Asia

I hope many of you had a chance to see one of nature’s most beautiful events today, the total solar eclipse. I was pretty excited about it myself, but sadly it had to rain in Melbourne today.


If you’re like me, then you can take some comfort in viewing the above collection of photos of the solar eclipse from different locations in Asia. There’s always next time…


Today’s solar eclipse was very special not only because they occur rarely, but also because it lasted for 6 minutes and 39 seconds, the longest one of this century (not trying to rub it in or anything)! To my surprise, countries like China had to reassure the public as eclipses was a bad omen in ancient China. And, in India, religious rituals were being held in places such as the Ganges river.
