Speed racer live-action movie
From the creators of The Matrix trilogy, comes Speed Racer! It’s based off the 1960s manga and anime series Mach GoGoGo. For those that knows the series, they will also know that it was a profound anime of its time and defined an era of anime. It was one of the first, if not the very first manga and anime that is based on automobiles!
In the movie, Emile Hirsh will be acting as Speed which seems to be a great fit. The story behind the movie follows Speed who rejects an offer from Royalton Industries and is now trying to win a race known as The Crucible which has taken the life of his brother. The movie will be launched on May 2008 and from the trailer, it seems to be pretty good!
